Social Profiles
Connect and manage your social media accounts — Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and more — to handle DMs and comments directly in Autoch.at.
Bring social into your inbox
Social Profiles (at Social Media > Profiles) is where you connect your social media accounts to Autoch.at. Once connected, incoming direct messages and comments from those platforms flow into your Conversations inbox alongside your chat, SMS, and email conversations.
Your AI assistant can handle social DMs just like any other channel — responding automatically, qualifying leads, and escalating to a human when needed.
Supported platforms
- Facebook — Pages and Messenger
- Instagram — Business accounts (DMs and comments)
- LinkedIn — Company pages
- X (Twitter) — Business accounts (DMs and mentions)
Connecting a social account
- Go to Social Media > Profiles.
- Click Connect Account.
- Select the platform you want to connect.
- You'll be redirected to that platform's authorization page — log in with the account that manages your business page.
- Grant Autoch.at the requested permissions.
- Once authorized, you'll be returned to Autoch.at and the account will appear as connected.
You need to be an admin of the Facebook Page, Instagram Business account, or LinkedIn Company Page to connect it. Personal profiles cannot be connected.
What happens after connecting
Once connected:
- New DMs from that platform will appear in your Conversations inbox in real time.
- Comments on your posts (if enabled) will also appear as conversations.
- Your AI assistant can be configured to respond automatically to incoming DMs.
- Your team can reply directly from Autoch.at without switching to the social platform.
Managing connected accounts
From the Social Profiles page, you can:
- View connection status — See whether each account is connected and healthy.
- Reconnect — If a connection breaks (for example, after a password change), you can reconnect it here.
- Disconnect — Remove a social account from Autoch.at. This stops new messages from flowing in, but doesn't affect existing conversations.
Permissions and re-authorization
Social platform permissions occasionally expire or need to be refreshed. If you see a warning that a connection needs attention, click Reconnect and re-authorize the account. This is a normal part of maintaining social integrations.
