Post Queues
Set up automated posting schedules so your social accounts stay active without requiring you to manually publish every post.
Keep your social presence consistent
Post Queues (at Social Media > Queues) let you define a repeating posting schedule for each of your social accounts. Once you've set up a queue, you just add posts to it and Autoch.at publishes them automatically at the next available time slot.
This is the most efficient way to maintain a consistent social presence without having to manually schedule every individual post.
How queues work
A queue has two components:
- A schedule — The days and times you want posts to go out (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10am).
- A pool of posts — The posts waiting to be published.
When a scheduled time slot arrives, Autoch.at takes the next post from the pool and publishes it. If the pool is empty, the time slot is skipped.
Creating a queue
- Go to Social Media > Queues.
- Click Create Queue.
- Select the social account this queue is for.
- Set your posting schedule — choose the days and times you want posts to go out.
- Click Save.
Adding posts to a queue
There are two ways to add posts to a queue:
- From the Posts page — When creating a post, choose Add to queue instead of scheduling a specific time.
- From the Queue page — Click Add Post directly within the queue.
Posts in the queue are published in order (first in, first out). You can drag and drop posts within the queue to reorder them.
Pausing a queue
If you want to temporarily stop publishing from a queue (for example, during a company crisis or a sensitive news event), click Pause Queue. Posts will stay in the queue but won't be published until you resume.
It's good practice to pause your queues during major news events or crises, even if your content isn't related. Automated posts that go out at the wrong moment can look tone-deaf.
Queue analytics
The queue page shows basic stats for each queue — how many posts have been published, the average engagement per post, and the next scheduled publish time.
